Karla Barthelmy-Hippolyte has centered her career on her passion for empowering people to engage in the world around them with Informal Education. She draws people to be more aware, mindful, and conscious by helping to coordinate numerous adult and family programs in her over 10+ year career. After completing her MA in Museums, Galleries, and Contemporary Culture, Karla transitioned to The American Museum of Natural History, where she spent most of her career in the Education Department. Now as the Cultural Programs Coordinator at the South Dallas Cultural Center, she focuses on making Arts and Culture come alive with significant importance on the African contribution to the world.
