The compound word of ‘Book’ and ‘Anima,’ inspired the dance film BOOKANIMA: Dance, in
which Shon Kim experiments with animation to bring a dance book to life.
SHON KIM majored BA in Law at Hanyang University, BFA in Film & Video at School of the Art Institute of Chicago, MFA in Experimental Animation at California Institute of the Arts, and Ph.D. in Animation Theory at Chung-Ang University. He works in LA and New York.
