Wilber Mendoza is Mexican artist with roots from the zapoteca and mixteca cultures of Oaxaca, where he was born. His work develops on the dance and film languages addressing queerness expressions, migration issues and indigenous experiences. Mendoza is also Festival Manager of kNOwBOX dance Film Festival in Mexico and Co-director of Coctelito de Videodanza, hosting screenings and producing films in Oaxaca. In 2023 he was awarded with Youth Creators National Fellowship in México, as well as Creation Grant for Local Artists from Pocoapoco.
